Vehicle Detail
2002 Pontiac Trans Am Collector Edition #1659 (CETA) I bought the car used almost 5 years ago and it had already had body work repairs after an accident. Since the collector value was already damaged and it had about 40K miles at the time anyway, I just drove and enjoyed the car instead of leaving it in the garage! The car now has 123,681 miles but I did complete a motor swap in 2010 and this motor has around 18,000 miles and is running strong. The new engine is a built LS1 with a Comp Cams 224/224 camshaft, ARP head studs and ARP rod bolts. It drives great and uses no oil. I would guess it has around 450 Horsepower but it hasn't been on a dyno with the new engine. It's definitely faster than the last engine which ran a 12.19 in the quarter mile at MIR on street tires and the stock rims. Video link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdAPqsYgWz4&list=UUzvRqbBKN2OWPwWXxggFibw&index=1 It has the automatic transmission which I upgraded with a CIrcle D 3300 Stall Torque converter and a large transmission cooler. It drives great on the road and never runs hot with the big cooler. The vehicle currently has the stock CETA rims with good tires but will also come with the spare set of 18 inch rims without tires that you see in some of the pictures. The 18's were bought used and have some scratches and curb rash though. The audio system is the Premium monsoon system with the CD player and I upgraded with a small built in 10 inch subwoofer box and amplifier. I installed an interceptor digital gauge in the dashboard that monitors about 100 different vital readings from the cars PCM and is also a performance gauge which calculates your 0-60, HP, quarter mile times, etc. The car was professionally repaired after an accident in early 2009 and was completely repainted and had new decals installed. The original hood was damaged so I upgraded at the time to the WS9 hood with the Firehawk heat extractor vents. The exhaust was upgraded with the 3 inch quad tip Magnaflow Stainless Steel exhaust you can see in the rear view photo. All uploaded photo's for this sale were taken after the accident repairs so you can see it looks very good and has a clear title, NOT a salvage title. The only damage is a small parking lot scratch on the left front fender. The Collector Editions are hard to find and definitely turn heads. This one is affordable due to the mileage and previous accidents but is a great driver and is ready for the spring! NO RESERVE!
