1989 Bentley Turbo R...the car shows very nicely..it was repainted about 3 years ago and still looks very nice..paint has a nice shine, no dents or scratches..the alloys are nice and the radials are brand new. The front and rear bumpers were color keyed black to enable the newer, more updated Turbo R visual. The interior is very clean, leather is close to perfect, piping is very crisp..Note on the wood: the dash wood is perfect, no hazing or pealing..the wood veneer on the door tops is also perfect with no signs of cracking or hazing. The headliner is nice and intact. The real positive with the car is that the car runs and drives without any issues..The engine its 6.75 liter V8 output 197 hp with 487 ft-lb of torque for a top speed of 137 mph, and 0-60 in 6.7 seconds - near supercar acceleration for is time, along with the sensation of a cloud-like ride, thanks to its Girling hydraulic self-leveling system, the Turbo R was as plush as any car in production. The car is bone dry underneath, does not burn off any oil, ice cold A/C, turbo spools up as it should and powers this big heavy sedan to unforgiving speeds...breaking is correct with no issues. Note the car has some common Bentley/Rolls quirks..all 4 windows go up and down very slowly. Due to the intense heat down here, we never lower the windows, always use the A/C. The stereo works fine, but is very old, power antenna is new and operates as it should. Both rear tail light lenses have minor heat cracks form the Florida heat and finally there is a very minor haze at the base of the rear window again from the heat down here. Bottom line, these Turbo R Bentleys are a real collectable Bentley and a joy to won and drive..not to mention the status that comes with owning any Bentley. NADA list the 1989 Turbo R with a low value of $30,200, average $3800 and high retail of $53000.
