This 1971 VW WESTFALIA BUS vanagon, has 101,000+ miles. The body has been stripped to metal and repainted with original color of forest green. It has new front door seals and a new pop-up seal. Also so a new front tinted window and seal, rebuilt steering box and link arm. Undercarriage has original undercoating, body rust-free. Brakes are the first year of power-assisted brakes and work great. 1600 cc engine runs great and does not leak or use oil with new cylinder and pistons. New head, electric fuel pump, transmission shifts smoothly and does not pop out of gear. Front seats are not original, but are in great shape. Rear seats are original and are in great shape with no tears. Pop-up canvas is original and is in need of repair or replacement. New 8-ply tires in original size and load rating, new spare. There are some issues with the wiring, but all lights do work except back-up lights. Interior is in excellent condition and clean. Brand new flooring. The Dashboard does have 2 small cracks, but overall in very good condition. There is an under-seat porta-potty and a fridge with 5-gallon water tank. This a a RARE Westy with many firsts and lasts for this model. This bus has been garaged since 2006 when I purchased it and has been well maintained.
