Traded to a local dealer as a clean original California "Barn Find", it then sat for a few years outdoors and began to deteriorate. After aquiring this classic, the dealer had big plans for refurbishment. The dashboard was removed and work began on minor electrical glitches and new parts were collected. But as so often is the case, life intervened and the car sat outdoors unloved in a coastal town. Rust began to take its toll, the battery died, and the brakes went bad. The last registration was in 2005. Fast forward to today where we are offering it as a Parts or Project car with NO RESERVE. Fortunately, it still runs well with the aid of a jump start, and can even be driven around. (on the parking brake) All of the pieces from the dashboard removal appear to be present, and there is even an extra dash for comparison. Not many of the power accessories work, but with careful cleaning of the contacts many would probably come back on line. Inside, aside from the dash being removed, the seats and door panels are presentable and the headliner looks great. The carpet is somewhat stained and the chrome trim is lightly pitting, but would probably polish up well. The bodywork is the biggest obstacle. There are some rust bubbles in the usual places, (lower edge of the rear window, rocker panels, and left rear door edge) but there is also some rust through from where water stood on the rear fender tops near the door hinge. (see photos) A challenging project to restore, but it could be patched and enjoyed as is, or parted out for the wealth of spares.
