1979 MGB Convertible Roadster This car has been in climate controlled storage for the past 15 years of its life and driven only occasionally on date night or to local auto shows. I am selling the MGB for a good friend of mine who has taken impeccable care of it since in his possession over 12 years ago.Exterior:-The car is all original and in immaculate condition. It has had only one repaint approximately 10 years ago and looks magnificent with only a few tiny nicks. The paint is basecoat clearcoat white and shines like new. The body panels are all original and completely rust free. The top is Black and in perfect condition with the original Black MG boot. The wheels are original spoke MG steel wheels with new Uniroyal Tigerpaw ASC tires.Interior: -The interior is Black and in gorgeous condition. The dash and console has been accented with titanium Burlwood panels giving the Black interior the perfect accent for this classic roadster. Driveline: -The motor runs beautifully with 50 pounds of oil pressure, 128-130 pounds of compression across the cylinders and all guages and dash indicator lights work. The head was magna-fluxed then completely rebuilt with stainless steel valves and all new guides and seals. The carburator was completely rebuilt and a complete tune up was performed to bring the engine operation to optimum standards. All service work was permormed by professional MG mechanics. A complete MG service manual is included with the purchase.-The four speed transmission shifts perfectly and smoothly and the clutch and pressure plate were replaced only a few thousand miles ago. -Headlights and signal lights work perfectly as well as all other electrical functions.Audio System:-Pioneer digital CD system with Jensen speakers.-This MGB has been in my friend's possesion for the past 12 years and in my opinion one of the nicest available today.
