Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1951 Chevrolet 3100. It has a clean / clear title. The title says it has over 200k miles on it but that is because the speedo / odometer is missing and the previous owner just put that down instead of outside of mechanical limits or something other. This truck has the original 6 cyl motor and 4 speed transmission. The sheet metal is in much better condition than most you see. The floors are still solid. It is a perfect candidate for a full original restoration, or a hot rod project. I was going to go the way of the original restoration just because it has so many original parts and it has not been molested yet. Anyhow, I lost my indoor storage and now sadly she must go. When I got the truck I was able to get the engine to run by removing the air filter and feeding it gas. Now, probably due to the cold it cranks but will not start. Take a look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions. Please send all questions to BGerrity80@Yahoo.com. I am selling the item for him. Now bid away and get this beautiful piece of american history in your garage! Thanks 2/17/13 I just wanted to add some additional information regarding some of the common questions I have been receiving about the truck. This truck is being sold as a classic restoration. How much work needs to be done depends on what your intentions are. If you plan on simply driving this vehicle then know that you must do at the bare minimum a full thorough inspection, brake work, electrical and gauge work, fix the window crack, probably new tires, window seals, door panels, side steps if you want them, bed wood, and a full tune up. If you are looking for a show quality car then you must do a whole lot more starting with taking the cab and bed off, sandblasting the frame, cleaning up every little part and restoring everything to better than factory new. Window cranks and door handles do work, windows require a little effort to go up and down but they track nicely, door hardware is pitted Frame and Body condition Frame looks solid with surface rust, Body is solid, there is some rust at the bottom of both doors. The passenger side is worse than the driver. Cab corners are not showing rust, but they do show bondo repairs. I can also see bondo repairs in front of the driver side door, and the passenger side fender. Hood, cab roof, and tailgate have surface rust on them. Missing Parts: Bed wood, Speedo and other gauges seen in pictures, side steps, door panels, a hood emblem comes with some spare parts that I have but im not sure it is the correct one so possibly some emblems Chrome: Front grille has dents, light trim rings have dents Bed: There is no wood in the bed, it looks like a fence panel was placed in the bed. The metal strips that are used to separate the wood are in the bed, but they are bent and need restoration or new. I am trying to represent the vehicle as well as possible. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Once again, the vehicle is being sold as a classic restoration vehicle. Thank you for viewing.
