2002 VW Beetle GLS TDI for parts or repair. We bought this car used out of Tennessee about five years ago and have put about 80,000 miles on it. The diesel engine still runs great and was still getting 44mpg until the transmission went out. The transmission no longer shifts properly and reverse does not work at all. This car could be driven onto a trailer, but not for any significant distance. The body panels are in good shape except for the driver's side rear fender and the front bumper, which are cracked. The tires are in good shape. The windshield is cracked but all other glass is fine. The power windows, locks, and mirrors all work. It has the cassette player with truck mounted 6 cd changer which works well. The interior is in terrible shape: plastic finish peeling, headliner loose, door trim loose, center console plastic missing, carpet soiled and worn, drivers seat cracking, classic VW crayon smell.
