Up for auction is a 1970 Mercury Cougar and is a base level project car. I have lost interest in restoring the car and would like to sell to someone as a restoration or parts car. There is some rust on the car mainly in the trouble areas that cars of this era normally have, rear quarters and and front passenger and driverside floor pans. I have started disassembly on the car and most of the parts are there other than the rear trunk lid and air conditioner compressor and air conditioner compressor brackets. The car was running when I put it in storage 3 years ago and had been converted to HEI ignition and has a Eldebrock four barrel carbureator with mechanical secondaries. This car has drum brakes all around and the gas tank leaks, no passenger door glass and the driverside motor mount is broken.
