Six have sold six on Ebay so far. I have the largestsingle collection of Chrysler Town and Country Convertibles. I am not a dealer and have collectedthese nifty convertibles since the late 90's. They have been stored inside for most of their life; In 1983 only 1520 of these landmark cars were made. As of 2002 only 49 were in the ChryslerRegistry. This year 1983 is the only year with a roadster coach style top with no back roll up side windows. The rest of the years 1984 to 1986 had back seat quarter windows. . The factory offered them in Pearl White, Dark Sable Brown and Black. White being the most popular. Tops were available in black or white. I am selling the 1983's first and then onto the rest. I am ask by many buyers if they can drive the car across country. My answer is "I don't know". It runs fine here but a30 year old car can have problems after setting all this time. It is NOT advisable to drive an antique car across countryuntil you drive it short distances around town and get to know it. Many things can happen, belts. hoses, radiator, brakescan stick, head gasket, timing chain, or maybe nothing. What I am saying is I WOULD NOT ADVISE DRIVING ANYCLASSIC CAR ACROSS COUNTRY IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT AND HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT ALOT. IT IS CHEAPERAND SAFER TO HAUL THE CAR, GET FAMILIAR WITH IT AND START TAKING SHORT TRIPS.AT FIRST. IF YOUHAVE TO TOW THIS CAR OFF THE HIGHWAY AND SPEND SEVERAL DAYS IN A SMALL TOWN FIXING IT YOUWILL NOT SAVE MONEY. This car is not show room new, but it is very presentable, more so than most cars it's age. I have spent time and money getting this vehicle running and looking good. I have a low reserve because I need to sell these cars before winter or payto store them. I want the car to find a good home. I can't drive 30 of them. It will sell far below it's worth and far below what other sellers are asking for similar cars. It is a unique and fun car that evokes the nostalgia of the 40's but drives like a modern car. .It is sharp ! To the best of my knowledge the car drives well and the transmissions shifts as it should. All the power equipment performs well for a 30 year old car.I believe the interior leather and carpets are almost, as new , and the paint on the exterior, and top in great shape for a 30 year old car. The AC may need servicing in the spring. The car was stored and covered inside since 1996 in Henderson, North Carolina. I purchased and brought it to Kansas Cityto add to my collection in May of 2005 where it likewise has been stored inside. A new battery, carb adjustment and windowmotor were necessary to make the car road worthy. A non-refundable $ 500.00 deposit is required on Pay-Pal on Ebay and the balance within 7 days. No warranty or guarantee comeswith the car. It is sold "as-is" . The car is 30 years old and is being sold at a bargain. It's a great way to get a collectorcar to cruise weekends, or to drive daily. Only a total of 3725 were made from 1983 to 1986 and as of 2002 only 236 were known and registeredin the Town and Country Owners Registry. That does not mean there are not a few hidden around out there stored in old garages. Most of them hit the scrapper a decade ago.. Once these cars are gone, they are gone. If you want one of these rare cars, and at at a bargain , now is the time.
