Up for auction is 1947 Dodge 1/2 ton Pickup Truck. This is an original truck with only the tail light assembly and mirrors not per original design Underwent complete frame up restoration about 15 years ago.. This truck has been garaged for the last 40 years of its life.. Speedo reads 36K but title indicates "exceed mechanical limits". Very doubtful this vehicle has 136,000 miles given the excellent shape body is in. Has flat head 6 and a four speed transmission. Starts up without hesitation on first crank and maintains idle. Still original 6V with battery located under driver side floor. still has original generator. Has all original sheet metal (rare) and no evidence of any collision damage and frame has not been modified. All gauges (except heat gauge but we have a working one to replace it) work as verified by one of the pics. Interior in excellent shape. Undercarriage has some very mild road grime otherwise very clean. Wood bed solid. The show bed shown does come out very easily to make this a working truck, which it has been all of its life. Truck driven approximately 200 miles a year and very well cared for. This grand old truck has won many awards and turns heads where ever we drive her. Underwent tuneup and carburator rebuilt. New Cooper truck tires. Vacuum operated wiper motors are operating . There is a minor dent in front right fender. I have many parts to go with the winning bid.
