BMW M6 PROJECT FOR SALE E-Mail with questions or information requests. 1988 M6, Black (Schwartz) exterior, Lotus White interior I am the second owner and have owned it since December, 1993 Approximately 130k miles If you are familiar with this model, you know that BMW only imported 1,767 into North America (US and Canada) I started to restore the car but I have no time now. At this point, the interior is partially disassembled. All original parts, BMW repair manuals and a bunch of spares and aftermarket parts come with the car. Restore it, race it, make a replica Gruppe A car or part it out. I need the garage space for the wife's car so the M6 has to go. The car is located in Vienna, Virginia 22181. This is a No Reserve Auction. High bidder wins! Condition: Original engine, regular Mobil 1 oil changes, new starter, valve clearances at ~60k and ~100k, recent thermostat and fan clutch. New transmission at 50k miles (replaced under warranty). Oil pan has a small crack. The low pressure power steering hose leaks. Air conditioning is not operating and the climate control fan needs new transistors. I have them. Rust on driver's side rear quarter and bottom of the front fenders. The paint is original and thin. Rear anti-roll bar mounting tab needs re-welding. Modifications: Original Jim Conforti chip Koni Sport (yellows) single-adjustable/H&R suspension with offset strut bushings (about 5k miles on them). About 1" lower than stock. 17x9 BBS touring car wheels, 245/40-17 Bridgestone RE760 Sport tires, with about 5k miles. Have original TRX wheels and two tires. Urethane filled rear subframe and diff mounts, monoball (spherical) rear trailing arm and front thrust arm bushings.
