Vehicle Detail
1962 FORD F-100 4X4 If you’re looking for an awesome classic truck to restore...look no further. Oh sure...there’s lots of vintage truck projects. But out of every 500 or so, you’ll find maybe one factory four wheel drive. This rare Ford is only the second year for Ford offering four wheel drive on its trucks ever! Bring a trailer and this old girl will drive right up on it. The original straight six runs and sounds good. It’s mated to a factory floor shift four-speed with granny low and a (divorced) two-speed transfer case. The truck has been on a Texas ranch most of its life. The body is mostly straight and the floors mostly solid. There is some typical rust here and there and body bangs. The glass is good and the truck has a nice vintage brush guard. The brakes on the truck are currently out. But with granny low...who needs brakes. This truck won’t last long. She’ll make an awesome father/son restoration project or put it on the ranch. She’ll go about anywhere loaded with feed. The trucks in San Antonio Texas near the airport. Call 210-548-1310 9am-7pm CST. Houston Wills PAYMENT AND STORAGE A $500 deposit is required from the winning bidder, due electronically via PayPal within 24 hours after the auction ends, to hold the vehicle. I knew they started in 1959 and miss counted. SorryOn Jan-31-13 at 15:43:57 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE! A few Ford guys have pointed out that the engine has been swapped for the larger six cyl. FYI Thanks
