This car has only 98,800 actual miles on it from new. This car has newer paint, convertible top, rebuilt engine, clutch and most suspension. We are asking only $7400.00 for this great RUSTFREE car. This car is ready to be driven anywhere- it needs nothing! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST TR7 THAT YOU CAN BUY! VIN# TPVDJ8AT210501 Here is a nice, fun, reliable, turnkey, convertible topped sports car. The previous owner, a collector from Charleston WV., had this car for over 10 years. The motor was completely rebuilt by Dana Byrd Automotive of Charleston WV. about 1200 miles ago (by the former owner). The following parts were installed new with the engine rebuild: clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, rear shocks, flexible brake lines, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar bushings, transmission mount, starter, emergency brake cables, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, rear wheel cylinders and rear brake shoes, exhaust, windshield wiper motor, K & N air filter, new top and the list goes on! It needs nothing. A really nice paint job over a rust free body is about 4 years old. Headlights lift and retract smoothly. Original door panels, seats recovered in tan vinyl. Older carpet job could be upgraded but presentable as is. All lights, horns, switches and gauges work with the exception of the clock. The radio is a Sony CD player w/MP3. Car comes with 5 absolutely stunning Panasport wheels with Yokohama A-008 tires with about 50% tread. I will let you have the 5 original steel Triumph wheels and a few extra parts I have. The car still has the original jack in the factory original blue plastic bag. I have many receipts for parts from the previous owner which will go to the new owner. I have taken a lot of pictures and include the 24 that best show this car and the great condition it is in. It runs very nicely and is a pleasure to drive. I have personally driven the car about 75 miles at up to 65 MPH with no shimmy or steering wheel shake and no brake vibrations at all. At 65 MPH in 5th gear the tachometer revs at slightly over 2500 RPM. This TR7 will make an inexpensive fun summer car for the lucky buyer. This car is VERY CLEAN AND RUSTFREE UNDERNEATH. The Panasport wheels with tires are worth about $2000 alone. You will not find a better TR7 anywhere. I took this car to my Pennsylvania State inspection mechanic: he said that the car is in remarkable shape and a very safe car to drive (great suspension, brakes, steering) but it did not pass the Pa. state emissions testing. The emissions air pump and some hoses have been removed from this car engine bay so that it runs better but will not pass Pennsylvania emissions testing which requires a visual check that all factory emissions components are in place. This car is, however, eligible in Pennsylvania for ANTIQUE AND/OR CLASSIC PLATES which do NOT require emissions testing EVER! If I were keeping this car, I would apply for the Antique license plates- no inspections and no yearly registrations EVER! Only a few counties in Pennsylvania require this emissions testing, but I wanted any potential buyers to know. These cars are getting hard to find especially in this condition! If you like, we can give you names of local British restorers/mechanics that you can contract with to assess this TR7 for you (at your expense). If you fly into Pittsburgh, we can pick you up at the Pittsburgh International Airport. All shipping arrangements and expenses will be paid by the buyer. The original steel wheels, hubcaps and another set of 4 almost new tires that will fit onto the Panasport wheels, go with the car IF you want them.On Jan-24-13 at 12:28:58 PST, seller added the following information: The car does have one very small, much smaller than a dime, rock chip on the passenger lower side of the windshield and the carpets are probably original to the car- but in nice shape. The paint is almost perfect- very few, if any, imperfections. No door dings or scratches at all in the paint. The 5 Panasport wheels are PERFECT- no road rash at all. The entire bottom of the car was painted with an Eastwood or POR 15 type antirust inhibiter paint to preserve the car. NO RUST AT ALL UNDER THIS CAR.
