1981 Pontiac Trans AM Original Numbers matching 4-speed, T-Top, High Performance Engine W/Nitrous System!! I am the third owner. There is No Rust located on the floor boards, wheel wells or trunk floor areas! Car is Rust Free!!! This is a True factory equipped 4-Speed Trans Am with T-Tops! The Trans Am has the original 4-Speed transmission!! The VIN Number stamped on the Transmission matches the VIN number on the dash (see photos of VIN & cast numbers on transmission)!!! The transmission is the original factory aluminum case Manuel 4-Speed. The transmission shifts smoothly and has no problems! The Trans Am came originally with the Chevy 5.0Liter (305 CID) Engine and 4-speed Manuel transmission which is very rare, only approx. 3200 were produced. The Trans AM engine has now been upgraded to a high performance 5.7 liter (350 CID) engine!!! The engine was balanced and has approx. 9:5:1 compression!! The engine was built with the following specs: It has a high performance hydraulic camshaft with a duration at .050 of 222 (Intake) & 236 Degree (exhaust) and valve lift of .500 (intake)& .505 (Exhaust) lift. Advertised cam duration is .294/.297 degrees. The cylinder heads are 76cc with valve size 2.02 (intake) and 1.6 (exhaust). Head Casting Number is 3973487. Cylinder Heads are equipped with Comp Cams roller rocker arms (1.52), guide plates with screw in Studs and Comp Valve springs!! (see photos). Has 150 HP nitrous oxide system!! (in case you need a little extra power!!) I have not used the nitrous oxide system. Nitrous oxide tank is not included due to shipping/transportation restrictions. Edelbrock Torker II Intake manifold! Holley 4 Barrel 650 CFM Manuel Choke Carburetor!! Malory Unilite Distributor with 8 MM Spark Plug Wires! Headers exhaust with 2 ½ Inch Dual exhaust system!! Chrome Edelbrock Valve Covers! Chrome Edelbrock Air Cleaner! The engine runs nice and smooth with good power!! The Engine has a noticeable and nice sounding rumble from the camshaft (watch video)!! The car has a very nice and Shiny Black Paint job with nice SE (special edition) Decals!!!!! The Trans AM was painted approx. 1 year ago. The body is very straight and free from dents and rust. There are no major scratches on the Trans Am other than the normal minor road debris scratches. There is No Rust located on the floor boards, wheel wells or trunk floor areas! Car is Rust Free!!! Original 15X7 Inch wheels which have been polished!! All four wheels look like new!! All four Center Wheel Caps are in good condition!! Front and rear tires are Michelin Radial 235-60-15. All tires are in very good condition. Original Steering Wheel with functional horn!! Original front and rear seats. Seats do not have any tears and have never been reupholstered! Seats show normal wear for the year of the car. Original Headliner, showing a little wear with no tears! T-Tops are in very good condition with no cracks! (T-Top storage bags/case included). Clean door panels!! Has New Black carpet!! Nice Center Console and Shifter!! (console was replaced with power window switch option). Original Dash Board! Original chrome trimming/moldings! Has all Emblems intact!! All Original Gauges with functional tachometer!! Factory Electric Clock! Original Factory Air Conditioning! Has manual windows!! Factory Electric Rear Defogger!! All lights are functional!! Wipers are functional! Has Factory Tilt Steering Colum!! Factory glove box courtesy light! Original 4-Wheel Disc Brakes!! Factory power steering! Factory equipped F41 Rear Stabilizer Bar!! Has upgraded AM/FM CD Player Stereo (will need speakers installed). Original Rear Differential with Factory Equipped 241 gear ratio and Factory Posi traction Axle!! Has dual Exhaust system with Super Turbo Mufflers!! Exhaust has a nice throaty aggressive sound! This Trans Am runs very nice and strong!! Suspension feels tight and drives very smooth and straight on freeway!! Can be driven daily if desired! Car gets a lot of compliments.
