I am selling my 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4. Good condition. Some small dings and scratches here and there though nothing major as pictures show. I purchased the truck in 2008 for a trip and the truck had 125,000 miles at that time. In preparation for the trip and to ensure reliability I replaced a lot of parts, and I have replaced a lot of others as I had intended to keep the truck a long time. I have a need for a full size truck now and so this one is up for sale. In all I have spent approximately $5,000 on parts and some labor at the local dealership. This truck has the 3:55 differential gears as standard and so gas mileage is good and cruises easily. Preventive maintenance has included the following: New water pump, thermostat and hoses, Exhaust system including cat (2009-@131,000 miles), 5 new tires (@125,000 miles slightly taller than stock), New Shock Absorbers (@129,000 miles), New brake rotors, pads and park brake shoes (@125,000 miles), Upstream & Downstream O2 Sensors, Serpentine belt, Iridium Spark Plugs, New Mass Air Flow sensor, New Throttle Position sensor, New Intake Air Temperature Sensor, New Idle Air Control Valve, New Emissions Solenoid, New Leak Down Pump (emissions), Steering Middle Shaft, New Rack & Pinion steering (142,000 miles), New Steering Pump (@142,000 miles), New Upper Control Arms (left & right @ 142,000 miles), New Track Rod Ends (left and right), Sway bar bushings (all front & rear replaced), Rear sway bar end links), Front Axle rebuild @ 135,000 miles and Timken bearing sets used, New passenger front wheel bearing @135,000 miles, recent front end alignment & transmission flush along with transfer case and axles fluid change. Also recent coolant flush and replacement. Blower resistor replacement. Brand new battery less than a year old and recently I installed a K&N air filter to replace the factory unit. Truck has a sprayed bed liner installed and a Lund tonneau cover with snap-less fittings for a watertight seal. Air conditioning blows cold and heat works fine too. As I mentioned this was going to be kept for a long time until recently my plans changed. The truck has never broken down for me or let me down. The 4x4 works great in high and low ranges. The tow hitch was already on the truck and I have towed a small trailer for bikes. It is not a perfect truck though it is a very good one and will serve a new owner well. Truck will be sold with a factory service manual (the same as the dealership used) and owners manuals are also included. (Picture shows a drop hitch that will not be included). I have posted some pics that show some paint bubbling at the very end of the rocker panels at the very bottom of the cab corners. They were in the web link that for some reason ebay won't allow in an ad. I have been asked some questions about rust and this is basically a pretty solid truck that has been in MI its whole life but has also done a lot of sitting around too and so I think that is probably why it is not as bad as you can sometimes see. I have pictures posted though for full disclosure. 1.24.2013 I had been asked some questions about the transmission and so I took the truck to the transmission shop to get the full transmission service (45RFE 2 x filters, new pan, valve check inside the transmission for wear or damage, and fresh fluid) and it passed.
