This is a GREAT 1999 Ford F350 XLT Lariat 4X4 with the 7.3L Powerstoke Diesel engine. I got this truck for my one of my really good customers a couple years ago because he needed a good truck to pull his trailer and it seems as though his luck with letting his friends borrow his stuff has run it's course! SO.....this truck has moved from ready for the road for the next 200K miles status to rebuilder status in just a few days. Here is the deal..... This truck was up running and driving and driving perfectly just a few months ago. My customer intended to drive it for his work so he went through the truck and did absolutely all the maintenance that you could think of including removing both front and rear differentials and updating all the gears and relubing everything. He removed the transmission and updated all the clutches and did a full transmission kit and a full service. He sent the truck to his diesel mechanic and had the motor looked at and had all updates to get ready for some long hauls on the highway. He even made a shotgun run to California and back and called me raving about how the truck was doing. Everything was going as planned until he let his friend borrow the truck one fateful night a few months ago. We have all heard the story, but apparently his friend had a warrant and was getting pulled over so he ran from the cops and they side swiped him to get him to stop and now we are at this point. Oh wait, no it gets better. On top of that, another friend agrees to store it in his back yard until he gets the money to fix it and someone comes along and steals the battery cables out of it along with the batteries and tried to steal the brand new radiator for scrap. Fortunately the brand new radiator is still there, he didn't know how to do it. SO, here is what you will get.... This truck was running and driving and perfectly maintained and then it had an accident. From the pictures you can tell what it needs, but he did find the doors and they are included. Once the copper wires were stolen he decided to trade the truck back in to me for a Chevy diesel and let me deal with it so here we are. I have over 200 cars and don't have time to deal with this obviously but I know since it is a super strong truck that was well maintained until it was wrecked and had the battery cables cut. I am offering this at no reserve and I know someone who has just a little more time to work on it will end up with something worth while. On Jan-28-13 at 16:58:27 PST, seller added the following information: A few people have asked if they could drive down and reconnect the radiator and add batteries and battery cables and drive it back. That would probably work except the truck doesn't turn far enough due to some bend in the front suspension. It may need tie rods or a control arm or something else, but I do know that we had to scissor turn this thing a few times to get it in the back yard.
