Our eBay Profile 1939 Buick Special 2dr Touring Sedan What You Need to Know FYI - Scroll down for more photos and in some auctions videos of the vehicle for sale. We're proud to offer for your consideration this 1939 Buick Special Touring Sedan. While the country was beginning to grow out of the economic effects of the depression and the threat of war was on the horizon Buick sales were on the rise in 1939, up more than thirty percent from the previous year. From 1936 to 1958, Buick's Special model range represented the marque's entry level full size automobile. Now more about this 1939 Buick that you can have in your driveway with the winning bid. This Buick had a body on build in 2006 and has less then 21,000 miles on it since then. The motor is 350 Good Wrench Crate Engine with 290 HP, featuring an Edelbrock performer intake and 600 CFM carb. This classic has a 200R4 transmission and custom dual exhaust with Walker glass pack mufflers. The rear end is a ten bolt Nova rebuild with Richmond 3:73 gears, Auburn Limited Slip differential, and Moser axles. Front suspension is a 1977 Nova Sub with C.P.P. two inch spindles, disc brakes and power steering. More features include a Wardlow Kustom bra, vintage A/C and heat, and 4 core Walker radiator with electric fan and shroud. Also equipped with EZ wiring and fuse panel and 140 amp alternator. The car averages around 17 mpg. Wheels are 17x7 American Racing Hopster with new Goodyear tires. Interior has tilt steering column with a Lacarr Banjo steering wheel. Seats are 2002 Chrysler Sebring power seats. Door panels and headliner are custom made. Paint is 2006 Chrysler Pacifica Butate Blue code PBE. New glass and weather stripping installed at time of build. Gauges are Stewart Warner. This car runs and drives excellent and can be driven anywhere. The car has and still continues to do well in shows. This Buick is a driver still and could use a little TLC for common road rash, ie a chip here and there. The car comes with original 1939 owners manual, period correct ads and magazines, and a well documented build book. Check out our feedback and bid with confidence. We have the right to sell this Buick at any time if an offer is accepted, so if your interested in owning this be sure to bid, don't just watch. Happy bidding and good luck!
