1987 Cadillac Allante 2dr Convertible with both soft and hard top. I purchased this car on eBay June 2011 with 72,000. miles from a private party in Willcox Az. and drove the car home (800 miles) to San Antonio. It gets great mileage (20 to 24 mpg) for a large V8. I've used the car as daily driver with no problems. I've only had the soft top up once and figured with the summer temperatures in San Antonio I would rather have the hard top on and the air conditioner would be more efficient and the only time I would really use the soft top would be in the evening. So enough about the hard/soft top. The paint is in good condition except for the trunk lid has several spots where it looks like it over buffed and needs repainted. Everything works on the car except the horn, shortly after I got the car the horn would started honking for no reason, so I disconnected the relay switch.. I've put two new tires on the car, a new battery from Costco and a new Alternator and had a small repair to the leather driver seat (which you can't tell was ever repaired) The only problem I've had is when the car is not used for a week or so I've had to charge the battery. I don't know if there is drain on the battery or that with all of the electronics on car this causes the battery to go down. As you can see the all of the instruments on the dash work, I've never tried the cassette player but the radio works fine. I have the original owners manual and the AutoCheck Vehicle History Report (covers the period 1992(26000 miles) to 2003 57000 miles) from when I purchased the car in 2011. Please keep in mind the car is 26 years old and there is no warranty or guarantee.
