Vehicle Detail

up for sale, is a 1966 fairlane 500 2 dr coupe. If this type of car interests you, carefully look the pictures over, and see what the car (condition) consists of. This car sat untouched since 1985, the elements were pretty nice to the car as far as deterioration. The hood is the worst of all, as pictures show, on the leading edge. There is a small amount at the rear roof pillar on passenger side, and the drivers floor at the transmission tunnel. Even though nature has faded the paint, on trunk, roof, and hood, the lower body is amazingly solid, including the lower front fenders, inner and outer rocker panels, and rear quarters. This car has never been hit, or re-painted, and what you see, is exactly what the car really is, nothing hidden ! All the wheel opening trim is there, and very nice, the rocker mouldings are there, and in nice shape. the rare side body trim is there, and totally dent free ( this includes no door dings, from the parking lot bandits) amazingly, there is not 1 ping in it. The doors shut very nicely, and theres no sag when opening them. Windows all operate as they should. Glass is all very nice (not fogged, no cracks) The car has factory tinted glass, 289 cu in. engine, C-6 transmission (not c-4) power steering, manual brakes, centerline wheels, traction bars, exhaust hedders, dual exhaust. I have recently cleaned carb, replaced fuel filter, new coil, new plug wires, new plugs, ran fuel hose to fuel pump from gal can of gas, and fired the engine, fired right off. Needless to say, after sitting so long, the brakes need attention, I have removed the master cylinder, and have bought a new one, as well as new wheel cylinders, none have been changed as of this writing yet. This car deserves a good home, to someone that knows the value of these fairlanes, Hate to let it go, but am in the middle of a car build, and can use the money and space. The reserve is set at a reasonable amount, ( don't ask !) Bid like you're serious, I'm not giving the car away.
