Up for Auction is this a 1972 Mercedes 250 C with low miles. We purchased the car August 2011 and previous owner had the car here in Texas since 1999. Due to the overall condition, I have to assume the car has need been in the TX area and never driven where salt was used on it's roads. I am also comfortable too state that I fill that the mileage is correct and must have been garage kept and are kept out of the elements and weather over the pass 40 years. Car has no signs of ever been smoked in and all ash trays are spotless and unused. AC has been converted over to the new 134 A system and blows cold air and heat on all speeds. Included with sale (See Photos) are 2 completely rebuilt Zenith carbs,plumbing hoses, base plate gaskets, and correct air cleaner. Also as shown in photos, exhaust piping, muffler, and resinator from parts car (in good condition) to replace incorrect muffler on car at present. Seller will buy back the (2) Ford Autolite 2 brl carburtors for $100 for the pair plus shipping cost if buyer wishes to replace with correct Matching Zenith carbs at later time. Over all I rate this car as a number 3 out of a scale from 1-10, and 1 being like new condition. This is a nice coupe that would make a good daily driver and still turn heads at any local car show. Drives nice and straight with no rattles are noises. Engine has plenty of power and runs quite as it should. Paint is nice but has age and fill that if car received a new paint job it would be a show winner and move up to a # 2+ car. All exterior alum, stainless, and chrome are in nice condition .All rubbers at glass, door, and trunk are in good condition. All glass is clear and free of any chips are cracks and has the German labels. Back glass has rear defrost. Below is a complete list of items we have done are change to the car since date of purchase August 2011. Car will be sold Where Is As Is with no warranty are refund. Following items are complete work added to the car: 1) All carpet has been replaced with new loop pile (blue) and floor mats including package tray.2) One new 3 x 7 rear radio speaker.3) Complete rebuild of automatic transmission including new pump.($1800 value)4) 4 New radial tires (less than 200 miles) in Nov 2012 from Discount Tires.5) Rebuild existing (Ford 300 cfm 2 brls) carburetors that are presently on car. ( Car will come with (2) completely rebuilt Zenith carburetors, see photos) (added $900 value).6) Complete tune up with new plugs, air cleaner filters, and value adjustment.7) 2 new rear sway controller arms with new front end alignment.8) All 4 disk brake checked and cleaned. Brake pads have + 3/8 in remaining are + 25K miles remaining.9) Replaced vacume switch under passenger seat. (Controller switch to seat latching assemble).10) New rubber matting in trunk. Replaced with HD 1/4 in. thick black matting. (See Photos),11) Fresh oil and filter change at 98K miles with complete lubing of all ball joints.12) New inner and outer weather glass felts to doors and quarter windows.
