Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my ’93 300ZX. Reason for sale is that I need a second car, since my wife can't/won't drive it (my other car is stick as well) and I can no longer keep it garaged. I will give you every detail known to me about this car, so here it goes. I originally bought it from a gentleman in Wisconsin with 94k miles on it. Since then I put on about 50k. 3 years ago I decided to convert it from NA to TT. I bought a full ’91 clip from Japan and many new parts, which I have listed below, for a full conversion. During a conversion I purchased a civic which became my new daily driver. My plan was to build this Z to be an 800 hp monster eventually...Unfortunetly that time never came. I would much rather sell it and have some one else enjoy it instead of it sitting and rusting outside. The car has not been running for over 2 years now but started right up from first try. I did put in a brand new Interstate battery in it since the old one was no longer usable. The car ran very good, although I did notice a few things. Known issues: 1. The car does seem to been running rich since there are black exhaust marks on the back of the bumper. My semi-educated guess is that new turbos will be needed soon. However, the car pulls very strong through all gears with no hesitation what so ever. 2. Radio and antena are Z's painfull spots. Antena does not go up and radio no longer works. (It did work however before I left it in a garage). 3. Oil pressure unit and A/C hose itself are missing. I believe the oil preasure unit itself was missing from the clip I had originally purchased and since I garaged the car pretty much after the swap, I did not bother getting a new one. The engine was flushed several times after installation and full 120k maintenance kit was installed on it including the head gasket. 4. Heat and fan work without a problem. 5. Emergency break, although it works, would need to be replaced (worn out shoes). 6. Although this is not a real problem, I thought I would mention this anyway. The exhaust, as you see in one of the photos hangs a bit too low. My suggestion is for the winner of this bid to get a bit creative and raise it up as much as possible. 7. Leaky T-tops, which anyone who knows Zs knows that it is the usual for those cars. 8. Front bumper cracked at the bottom and one of the fog lights housing will need to be replaced eventually. (Not an original bumper as you can see and those are very fragile. This was NOT due to any accidents!) 9. The trunk seems to be malfunctioning and can now be only opened from the inside. 10. Steering seems a bit tight. I have never had any problems with steering before with this car. It may be that the car just sat for a while and needs to be driven around for a bit. Changing fluids would not hurt either. 10. The body has several imperfections such as small dents and rust spots. See photos. Other details about the car, although they can be seen at the bottom of the page I wanted to outline some specifically: 1. The body of the car has about 147k miles on it. The clip had roughly 35k miles on it. I kept the original dash as you can see from the photos. 2. It has a CLEAN TITLE. To the best of my knowledge, this car has never been in any sort of accidents what so ever. 3. Brand NEW EFI Harness. 4. Brand New Clutch (6 puck). 5. No catalytic converters – Megan Racing exhaust and downpipes. 6. Comes with 2 keys. 7. I have HID kit (6000k). One bulb will need to be replaced. For some reason brights don't work and worked before without any issues. I suspect that it just light bulbs that need to be replaced. 8. T-Tops 9. Leather Seats are in great condition. I kept a cover on the driver seat the whole time since I owned it. 10. Stick Shift (5-spd). 11. I have 2 sets of tires: 4 with Bridgestone and 4 with Yokohama All-season ones. The car will come with 4 Bridgestone tires and original rims. 12. Struts and Struts have been replaced with KYB AGX ones. 13. I had a shop bleed the breaks for me and put in new break fluid. 14. Breaks by the way are drilled and slotted, although again since the car was not driven for a while they got a bit rusty around the edges. 13. Intercoolers were taken from the clip, but I put on all new hoses. Here is a list of all new parts that I have purchased from Z1 Motorsports in May, 2010. ALL OF THOSE parts have been installed: 2 x Z1 Silicone BOV Inlet Hose $17.60 1 x Z1 Silicone Radiator hose set $98.00 - Color: Red - Model: TT (twinturbo) - Options: Complete Set 1 x Z1 Silicone Intercooler Couplers $124.00 - T-bolt clamps: YES (+$30.00) 1 x Z1 Silicone TT Intake "Boost" Hose Set $120.00 - Color: Red - Clamp Style: 8 Standard Clamps (+$12.00) - Throttle Body: OEM Throttle Bodies 1 x Reinforced Silicone Hose 6.5mm (1/4") ID $22.00 - Color: Red - Feet of Hose: 2' (+$10.00) 1 x Oil Cooler Hose (Short) $23.28 1 x Oil Cooler Hose (Long) $32.32 2 x Z1 Silicone Clutch Booster hose $42.00 - Color: Red 1 x Z1 Silicone Air Regulator to Balance Tube Hose $12.00 - Color: Red 1 x Heater Hose 2 $13.50 1 x IAA to Air Regulator Hose $17.30 1 x Z1 Silicone IAA Supply Hose (TT) $14.00 - Color: Red 1 x Z1 Silicone IAA to Air Regulator Hose $12.00 - Color: Red 1 x Z1 Silicone IAA Inlet Hose $15.00 - Color: Red 1 x Battery Harness $73.50 1 x EFI Harness ('90-'93 TT Manual) $375.00 1 x KYB AGX Adjustable Shocks (all 4) $416.00 4 x Polyurethane Shock Boots $20.00 - Color: Black 2 x OEM Front Exhaust Hanger Bushing $17.90 1 x 300zx Engine Gasket kit $280.00 - Model: TT (twinturbo) (+$12.00) - Year: 1991 2 x Turbo Compressor Inlet Gasket $8.90 2 x Rubber "Half Moon" seal $6.44 1 x Fuel Rail/Plenum seals (Early Style) $23.87 - Individual or Full Set?: Set of 6 (+$19.50) 1 x Z1 Ceramic 6 Puck Clutch Disc $125.00 - Model: TT (Twin Turbo) 1 x Z1 Silicone Oil Cooler Lines (short) $28.00 - Color: Black 1 x NISMO Oil Filter $10.99 1 x Z1 Silicone Turbo Oil Drain Line Couplings (pair) $18.00 - Color: Black 1 x OEM Head Bolt kit $80.00 - Options: None 2 x Fuel Filter $27.06 1 x Fuel Injector Plug (early style connector) $55.00 - Options: Set of 6 (+$45.00) 1 x TT Spark Plugs (6) NGK PFR6B-11B $65.99 1 x Fuel Injector O-ring Set $45.00 - Model: Early Style (+$10.00) 1 x Oil Pump Gasket $2.38 1 x Oil Pan Seal (Rear) $17.19 1 x Oil Pan Seal (Front) $17.19 2 x Motor Mount $160.00 1 x Fuel Pump TT (new OEM) $324.13 1 x Single A-Pillar Gauge Pod $23.00 - Color: Black 1 x Z series Boost/vacc gauge $63.00 1 x Z1 Silicone PCV Hose Kit - Twin Turbo $64.00 - Color: Red 1 x Oil Cooler Line $57.00 1 x Silicone Coolant Hose 8mm (5/16") ID - Color: Red Please feel free to email me at any time with any questions that you may have, and I will answer them as soon as I can. I have placed a very, very reasonable reserve on this vehicle due to several of the issues that the successful bidder may want to take care of. Who ever will win this bid will get this car for a "steal," especially with all the new parts I have already put in it. Note: I just looked at the title and noticed that it has an orignal purchase date of 6/10/62 for some reason. I assure you this car is NOT 51 years old, just a mistake :). Bid with confidence. I have successfully sold my '07 GSX-R1000 on eBay not too long ago with no complaints or concerns.
