Vehicle Detail
This is your chance to own a restored classic 1973 Dodge Charger Rallye. The combined production of this model with VIN WL21 was only 11,995 cars. This car is originally from Alamorgordo, NM in which it had been completely restored before I purchased it in Nov 1997 in Rapid City, SD. At the time of restoration, the original 318 engine had 71249 miles on it and got replaced with a professionally rebuilt 1967 Chrysler 440 backed by a 727 with a 2000 stall. The 8.75 rear end is rare for 73 models and has all new bearings, seals and brakes. The engine has had very few miles put on it since I've taken ownership, taking it out for an occassional cruise and to local car shows as members of the Black Hills Mopar Club and later with the Southwest Mopar Car Club in El Paso Tx, getting alot of attention and winning many awards. I replaced the windshield and the glass windows on both doors along with weather stripping on the doors. I never take it out in the rain thus a windshield wiper has never touched the new windshield. I use only synthetic Royal Purple motor oil in it. The exterior is in excellent condition painted with the Mopar B5 blue. It is rust free and there are no ripples as you look down both sides. Bumpers have never been re-chromed but are in very good condition. The interior is in very good condition with minor restoration required. The pans and underbody are flawless. I keep my car in the garage under a car cover since I bought it 15 years ago. We are selling this car because we own 2 Mopar classics and decided one is enough for us going into retirement.
