Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Frame Serial #CL771061000 - Engine Serial #CL771061032. Owned since 2006. Completed restoration in ‘08. Since restoration, I have ridden the bike 576 miles. Changed oil every 100 miles. Used only marine gas (no ethanol). The bike starts and runs like a dream. No additional parts have been added since restoration. Nothing has gone wrong. During restoration: Powder-coated all red parts (frame, rear swing-arms, tool box, chain guard, headlight, foot peg base & foot pegs steering damper base, etc.) including bolts and nuts. Powder-coated front fork legs (silver). Painted silver parts (gas tank, fenders, side covers) Re-chromed all chromes. (exhaust, handle bar, front fender base, rims, kick starter, side stand) Polished and clear powder-coated all aluminum parts (front and rear brake hubs, engine side covers) Rebuilt engine with new pistons & rings, carburetors. Restored speedometer. Kept original mileage. The mileage shown is true mileage. One of the pictures shows the bike the day I started putting it back together. Non-original parts: Gas tank – the ’66 gas tank has a weld along the middle of the tank. I like the tank without the weld. So I bought an earlier tank. I still own the original tank, which is NOT included with the sale. Exhaust pipes – the ’66 exhaust pipes include the muffler as one piece. I like the sound of the straight pipes, so I bought an earlier set, without the muffler. I still own the original pipes with muffler, which are NOT included with the sale. Battery: Installed dry gel battery - No acid leaks!
