Very nicely restored 1972 Chevy Cheyenne Super 3/4 ton 4x4 long bed finished in GM Victory Red over Summit White paint. This is a factory equipped 4x4 Cheyenne Super optioned with with a factory tachometer, tilt steering column, power steering, power disc brakes, 350 CI V8 and TH400 automatic transmission. Two year old body-on restoration with records totaling well over $20,000 including $9,000 in receipts for professional paint and body work, a very extensive list of thousands in brand new or NOS parts and a new factory houndstooth pattern interior. This truck began the restoration with a straight and solid body with minimal rust and original cab corners. Resto Rods out of Monroe, WA logged in over 240 hours of labor to get the body work laser straight, lay down the glassy 2-tone base/clear finish and fit all new bright work on the truck. This included custom cutting new wood for the bed, top coating it with two coats of clear, protecting the bottom with marine sealer and installing it all with hidden fasteners. The paintwork on the body and inside the bed is absolutely gorgeous! Every detail aspect of the body has been addressed with new parts including new polished stainless wiper arms, rear cargo light assembly, gas tank seal, Cheyenne 20 fender emblems, 350/8 fender emblems, "disc brake" rear emblem, front and rear deluxe side markers, Cheyenne Super wood grain tailgate band, front and rear chrome bumpers, stainless bumper bolt kits, license plate mounting kit with light, tail light lenses with gaskets and screw kit, back-up light lenses with gaskets and screw kit, amber front lenses, complete aluminum grille assembly, deluxe chrome and blue bow tie, stainless sport mirrors with mounting kits, exterior door handle assemblies, tinted front and rear glass with new seals and stainless trim, GM hood hinge assemblies, all new "windless" rubber seals and more brand new parts. The interior also received a full makeover with a list of brand new parts including new black and white houndstooth upholstery on the factory bench seat, Cheyenne Super door anels with walnut wood grain inlays, black loop carpet, GM dash pad with a new anti-rattle seal kit, Cheyenne Super headliner and chrome trim kit, steering wheel, full gauge "tach dash" assembly, woodgrain gauge face and glove box face, glove box liner and lamp, door sills, door edge vents, chrome ignition surround, cigarette lighter, interior door handles, window cranks and all new deluxe pedals with stainless trim. The power train is set up with a non numbers matching GM 350 CI small block V8 and a TH400 automatic transmission. The motor runs strong with a mild RV cam, aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor and headers. The transmission was rebuilt in June of 2011 but the motor history has not been documented. At the time the truck was restored it was raised up with a new 4" Rancho suspension lift kit and gas shocks to clear the 255/85-16 Toyo MT55 tires mounted on factory color matched GM steel wheels for that factory high-boy look. The undercarriage is primarily finished in satin black to a "sunny day driver" quality level. This was a frame-on restoration so the chassis is not body worked and gloss painted but it is very clean and mechanically sound. The truck drives excellent down the road and tracks straight at all speeds (please see the test drive video link below). Power steering and power disc brakes make the truck really enjoyable and effortless to drive. Attention to detail in the restoration was excellent. Everything functions as it should, with the exception of the factory radio. From the major mechanical aspects including the powertrain and 4WD system to the smaller details like the dome light and cargo light... it all works. The paint, body work, inside of the bed and interior will impress the pickiest of car aficionados at any show. If you have the chance to come see the truck in person I would strongly recommend it. This is truly a must see truck, finished in a great color combo and tastefully restored with a mild lift and the right wheel and tire package. For the purists and collectors value the truck can very easily be brought back to original suspension configuration with a set of factory springs, pitman arm and shocks (not included).
