Just came up from West Palm Beach, Florida. Garaged 38,000 mile Diesel Beetle. You will never find another with this low original milage. Nice color combination, Graphite grey metallic with Black and grey interior. Basically a new car, Never any body or paint work, never any rust or corrosion anywhere on car. Paint is in great original shape, seats and interior excellent. Starts and runs new. Now the bad, 2 small dings (barely noticable) one in front of left rear fender,low, another on right side lower rocker panel. Vinyl on door panels is loose, comon on these cars, glue gets old. No rips and easy repair or just leave as is. Small plastic snap on piece right side of defrost button missing. Thats it, car is ready to go anywhere. Tires are about 45%, Brakes are recent. Nice find, These early diesels were the best VW built, easy to maintain, minimal electronics, low replacement part costs and minimal service required. I have over 40 years experiance working on these cars and have to give this one a 9.9 of 10. Please no lowball offers, a new TDI will cost you 30k and can only be serviced by dealer. Maintained this car will go 500k miles or more and 50 miles per gallon is not hard to take.
