1970 Volkswagen Transporter If you want a REAL RUST FREE Bus, look no further !A vehicle that has a great following world-wide. Only thing is, these cars are getting much harder to find in this condition for a reasonable price. This vehicle is a great example of what I almost would call a time capsule. INTERIOR:some sun damage as you may expect for an Az vehicle. Although some heat damage has taken its toll over the yrs, plastic pieces brittle and vinyl showing their age. But its very complete and very original unmolested van. Many pics DRIVETRAIN:1600 original motor and manual transmission run and sound great with no smoke or weird noises etc.Brakes and steering feel good too. Shifter feels a little loose, but think thats how they all where.Alot of paperwork and reciepts come with the car showing rebuilt parts and or replaced over the years. Motor was rebuilt at about 82k If Im not mistaken looking at the invoices. Shows 144k on the odometer now. I know of no issues with the car to be a daily driver. I just drove this car home at nite about 5 miles across town a few weeks at night. Cold blooded, but nothing uncommon.TIres in nice shape too. Being an Az car the floors and trunk etc are very clean with some surface rust. Mild rust on the dr side floor. This car has never seen a salt road. It wouldnt take a lot to restore it and in the end its only going to go up in value. What more could you want.Check out over 100 pics below, be patient and let them all load. On Dec-21-12 at 01:38:31 PST, seller added the following information: I want to add a few things I forgot about when I first wrote the ad.The windshield has a small crack on the dr side lower corner. IF you win the car and need it replaced with a new gasket ,we can help with that. I have great connections and Ill get you a price on the job if you want us to have it fixed before shipping it. Winner will still have to pay for it if they want it done.The primer spots you see on the factory paint where there when we got the car, there is little to NO filler in those areas, not sure why they got primered unless it was small scratches or something.The few small areas where there is rust of bubbles on the lower bottompart of the car are very minor by comparison to most VW buses this old.Notice all the mirrors are missing, but I have a small box of extra parts that came with the car. Im going to go thru the box and see if they are in there. With a little more detailing and cleaning the interior could represent better. KYB shocks up front not very old, shocks on the rear look pretty old. RR taillight out, but going to change the bulb tomorrow. Needs wiper blades.
