1997 Mustang Cobra SVT Convertable. 7,495 original miles. Rare Triple black. 5 speed. fully optioned. This car almost sold on 12/26. within a few hundred dollars of my buy it now price. i extended second chane offers to top bidders who then wanted to lower their already documented bids/offers. Sad. so...out of disgust with ebay. i will list the car on last time, if it does not sell this time around, i will just keep it. This has to be one of the nicest low miles Cobras on the planet, if not the best. This car drives like new and smells new still. No rattles, no squeaks. Amazing. Everything works. Believed to be the original tires also. June 2012 auction of a Red Cobra convertable sold for $17,800 with over 34,000 miles. Not a sniff close to my car. auction site is the one seen on Speed Channel. look it up yourself. Show room condition triple black convertible with all options including Mach460 stereo, rear spoiler, keyless entry. 7,412 original documented miles. Never driven in the rain. Spent first eight years in Ford Dealership showroom in Oklahoma. Texas safety sticker not renewed since 2008. Stored. If you missed the 1997 Cobra back in the day. Now is your chance. Cheap. Below is my opinion of condition based on 10 point scale: 10 being perfect Paint: 9.5. nothing is perfect. No fading. No scratches. No dents. No road pecks. Nothing. Amazing. only very few scuff marks hear and there that will hand was out. i am not touching them. Engine: 9. Only 7,400 miles. So all is fine. 15 year old aging and that’s it. Nothing rotted. Limited rust from metal oxidation. Perfect. No leaks of any king. No smells. No smoke. Showroom. Interior: 9.5. interior is that of a 7500 mile car. very nice. almost perfect. No lie. Drivers seat shows only limited creasing from customers just sitting in it on showroom floors for 8 years.. Passenger seat has less. Rear seats are flawless. Carpet is perfect. Front “cobra” mats are fine. Door panels are great. Dash is as new Exterior: 9.8. its crazy how nice this thing is. Wheel wells have not been touched and nice. Front spoiler is mint. No dragging. Exhaust tips are nice and have even begin to bronze over the years some. No dings. Nothing. Power Top: 9.9 . very nice condition. Power motor works as it should. Hard cover fits nicely over roof once in place. As new. Undercarriage: 9.0 very nice. Ford used a lot anodized metal back in the day. Some pitting. But still it’s a car that never got wet. I bet that back in 1997 they looked the same way. Just 15 years old Electrical: 9.9 everthing works. Stock Mach460 stereo was the big deal back in 97. CD and cassette. Sounds good even by todays standards. Everything works . Drive Train: 9.9 everything is it should be- Starts, stops and runs as it should. Clutch is very firm like the cobras tend to be. Brakes are nice. No fade. No whining. No shudder. Very nice Coolant: 9.99 no issues. Topped off and correct color. This Cobra will suit a new car buyer. No disappointments….
