How do you make a Smart Car smarter? By buying a very lightly driven pre-owned one and saving thousands of dollars! How many thousands is up to you as this is a no-reserve auction.
We took this gorgeous blue car as a trade-in on a new Fiat 500. The man who owned it took good care of his Smart and drove it just 11,085 miles in four years. Yes, truly, just 3,000 miles annually.
This car has heated leather seats and alloy wheels and looks very sharp. The tires are in terrific shape.
This car is nearly perfect, as you'd expect with such remarkably low miles. There are a couple of chips and a scratch on the hood, as shown in the photos, and chips from parking on the driver side of the rear bumper. These cosmetic flaws do not jump out at one unless you are looking for them. There's no major damage to this well-kept and shiny car.
An important question in buying a pre-owned car is: How does it drive? In this case the answer is exactly as new! And I can say that with authority because I myself owned a brand new Smart Car. I drove it for two years and 18,000 miles before I got a new Fiat (I wound up needing a four-seater). I loved my Smart. It was fun to drive, especially with the paddle shifters, it gave me outstanding miles per gallon (the 41 highway EPA rating is no exaggeration), and it was a joy to be able to squeeze into parking spots nobody else could. I also found the car to be reliable and easy to keep happy. I highly recommend a Smart to anyone looking for what it offers.
We took this car through Virginia's tough safety and emissions inspections, and it passed with flying colors. There is no reason someone could not buy it today and hit the road to anywhere with confidence and a smile.
