Vehicle Detail

1964 Ford Galaxie Country Squire The original family truckster ! The last owner had this car for 35 yrs and subseqently lost the title since its been off the road so long, so last week we started the paperwork on obtaining a replacement title. LOW RESERVE - easy shipping from our sources too. Ill start by saying this cars been sitting for about 20 yrs here in AZ inside a metal barn. Moisture I wouldnt say was its biggest enemy. As the AZ sun and some rodents living inside it was. Whoever buys probably just plan on doing a complete resto But the car will need some work prior to making it a driver. Putting $15K into a car like this STILL BEATS buying a new $35k or more new SUV that will lose value each yr. Its a great car to start a full resto, seeing as the rust is minimal, body in pretty good shape, with original complete drivetrain. Its rough and prob looks better in the pics then in person, but these are getting so much harder to find get one while you can, the prices on all 60-70s wagons are on the rise ! DRIVETRAIN: Original optional 390 4v motor which I believe was rated at 300 hp. Hit the key and the car fires up, being carburated its a little cold blooded. We did a little carb work but the car could probably stand to use a full tune up before too long. As is it really runs pretty good for sitting so long. Makes for easy loading and unloading for transporting. No weird noises or excessive smoke coming from the mill. C6 trans and 9" rearend all feel good and the rare power brake option working better with a new master and reman original booster. I prefer to rebuild any of the original parts whenever possible when they need replacing. This also has a new fuel pump. Sitting on top of the motor youll also see the complete original AC system. (not working at the moment, but its all there) I have 1 ignition key only for this car no other keys. We did drop the gas tank to clean it out while bringing the beast back to life. Some nice pics were taken to show the lack of rust in that area too, look for them. INTERIOR: sun beat and torn up, but mostly complete but restorable. All 4 of the 4 dr glass are broken. Rest of the glass is still okay. I couldnt open the tailgate to get more pics, but the floors from front to back have minimal rust if any and are in amazing shape. (see pics) Also the underdash A/C unit still there completing a very original and complete, lots of chrome Ford dash. EXTERIOR: paint looks actually to be original and very well could be. Toasty, but the body is in pretty nice shape and stainless trim all seems nice too and accounted for. Once mechanically done, Id drive it as is and leave the patina. TIRES are toasty and old and will need new ones asap. This wagon is almost a Az barn find people on the eastcoast only wish they could find in their backyard, check out the lack of rust found in normal areas you may expect to see it. Some people may look at this car as a parts car, but its not that bad off and deserves to be restored. Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra schroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 150 large pics. There you have it, probably The BEST represented Wagon on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total rust bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping. Or fly in and drive it home, its that reliable and clean. NO Title in hand but we are working on it. This can take anywhere from 2- 8 weeks depending on how fast the MVD is working. That said, if the car sells and meets reserve, it will work like any other auction. Buyer needs to pay for the car in full and ship it out. Once we get the new title from the MVD, we will send it in the mail to the owner. We have done this several times, our feedback speaks for itself. CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 13 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. But keep in mind, the car cant ship until you get your title from us in hand. This car, you can see clearly what to expect with no surprises and our Feedback speaks for itself ! EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE !! Car will obviously ship as an INOP. IF you need a shipping quote, just email us with your city/state and Ill find out our best quote for you !! No problem helping it to the docks if you are shipping overseas . If there is a winner, please email me when the auction ends and say Hi and we can take it from there. I bank with B of A which makes things easy for many out of state for payment. direct deposit or Cashier checks must clear before car can move. Its a sign of the times, sorry. IF RESERVES NOT MET, email us anyway maybe we can work out a deal after it ends NO PAYPAL, sorry. Must be paid within 5 days of auctions end. On Dec-22-12 at 23:17:38 PST, seller added the following information: JUST AN UPDATE: the transmission in this car is the original Ford Cruise A Matic not the C6just want to try to clarify that for all the bidders. On Dec-23-12 at 23:24:29 PST, seller added the following information: Just an update, the car doesnt want to start as quickly as it did a few weeks ago anymore.I noticed the accelerator pump on the carb leaking now too.But after 3 or 4 times of cranking it and pumping the gas like any older car, it starts okay. When its cold, I pout a little fuel down the carb and makes starting it much faster and easier. Figure its worth mentioning for potential buyers. There has been and still it ALOT of interest in this car, which I figured there would be when Ilisted it, but good luck near the end as I expect a flurry of bidding to go on in the last few minutes of the auctions end.
