With the launch of the 996 Coupe in 1999, it was the first Porsche that not only performed well, but also was easy enough to drive that it could comfortably be used as a daily driver. Plus, the prices of these cars are at rock-bottom, making them a tremendous value!
The owner of this Porsche is the type of person we all hope to purchase a car like this from. The owner is a mature executive who has always been a fan of Porsches. He special ordered this car from Porsche and Steve Taube Porsche in Santa Monica, CA delivered it in August of 1999.
No service was ever over-looked. In fact, the owner was more than fanatical about servicing the car. This car was exclusively serviced at either Steve Taube Porsche or Beverly Hills Porsche. In fact, the same service manager at BH Porsche has been taking care of this car since 2006. The owner had a 30,000 mile service performed at 28,000 miles in December of 2010. The owner repeated the 30,000 mile service again just recently since it had been a couple of years. Of course, he performed the necessary oil services every 6 months as well. New Michelin Pilot Sports were installed less than 1,000 miles ago. The brakes have over 75% life remaining.
In terms of the cosmetic condition, I would classify this car as excellent boarding on near perfect. The owner had the same detailer clean the car since new. The original paint looks great with very few signs of wear. The interior is equally as nice. The dash is perfect with no cracks or warping. The leather looks great as well. The only wear we found was on the driver floor mat.
