This 1980 El Camino appears to have its original paint, and still looks pretty decent. The clearcoat is peeling in places though, so it is time to paint it. That is why I bought it, as mechanically it is really nice, and would make an awesome looking Elko with a new gloss black coat on it. I have a custom Scout convertible I just finished, but I can't get decent pictures of it until the rain stops here, and it is looking like it will be some time before that happens, so that is why I have decided to sell the Elko now, wet pictures and all. I do have it stored under cover, were it will stay until it goes to its new home.. Here is a quick rundown: · 305 V8 in excellent running condition · Three speed Automatic Transmission; shifts perfectly · New Edelbrock Intake and New Edelbrock 1406 Carb · New Aluminized dual exhaust system that exits with chrome tips behind the rear tires · All Lights, Gauges, Wipers, Heater, Factory Tilt Steering Wheel, ect appear to be working correctly · Newer Very nice Receiver type trailer hitch · 16" American Racing wheels in excellent condition with a matched set of Falken Ziex 225 60 16 tires that have plenty of tread left on them, plus chrome lugs and wheel locks A/C has been converted to 134A, and a new modern style compressor has been fitted to the system Pioneer AM/FM CD Player with a 200 watt power amp running a Subwoofer hidden behind the seat, plus a set of 6x9 Pioneer speakers behind the seat in boxes, with coaxial speakers in the doors. System sounds and works great New Battery, New Water Pump New HEI Distributor, Fresh Tune Up New K+N Air Filter Several sets of extra keys including a Gold Gift Set made for this car With a little paint and interior work this will be a 10K car. It is certainly nice enough to drive as it is right now for that matter. I was told the miles listed are original, but I always take that with a grain of salt. Still, having the original paint and the pedals looking so good, it is possible. The glass is all in very nice shape, and the windows roll up and down well. Chrome on the bumpers is very nice. I have not found any trace of rust on the body anywhere. . I have described the car as clearly as possible, and as with any used car it is sold "as-is". It has a clear, open, numbers matching Oregon State Title and current registration good until 2014. I have had very good luck with a transport company out of Redding.
