1969 Silver Tag 1969 Honda CT70 Silver Tag. Frame # CT70E-105105, Engine # CT70-104943 First year, early production, Silver Tags were the first bikes off the assembly line and had some unique features that make them the most collectable of the popular CT70 series. Some of these features are: - No black VIN tag on steering yoke. Silver “Manufactured In Japan” Tag. - Through frame taillight wiring. - Black plastic brake levers. - Bolted tool kit holder under seat. - Bullet tipped exhaust pipe. - Square lugs on engine cradle. - Lip on front fender. - Black horn. This started off as a very complete, original engine bike having all the Silver Tag features except the black plastic levers which I added and are correct for the model. I took pains to keep this bike as original as possible while bringing it up to the level that I wanted in my garage. Meaning I had parts rechromed rather than replaced and bought OEM parts when available. It's not perfect but a very nice example of one of Honda's most popular motorcycles. Some of the work done: Repainted correct 3 stage Saphire Blue. Rechromed fenders, forks, handlebars. New cables, switches, wiring harness, Trail Wing tires, seat cover, headlight, battery, chain, fork bushings, etc. The engine is original, runs and shifts well and has never been opened up. The odometer shows 1328 miles. No Title, sold with Bill of Sale. Usual disclaimer: This is a 40 year old motorcycle. There are a couple small paint flaws and nicks, the horn works most of the time, and the exhaust has been repaired at the joint where they commonly break, see picture. This little Trail 70 is beautiful and the metallic paint and chrome really make it stand out. It would make a great addition to any collection. Shipping is responsibility of buyer.
