We have had this 2003 Acura NSX-T on display in our showroom since October of 2006... We originally purchased this unit from American Honda Lease Trust, via dealer auction... At the time, it had 20,009 miles on the odometer This is an accident-free vehicle and it has not been smoked in. When we acquired this unit, it had a spun #5 rod bearing... When we went to repair this issue, we found that the #5 cylinder had been honed... This suggested that this problem had already happened at least one other time; so we installed a brand new shortblock assembly (Honda Part # 10002-PBY-A01), which we obtained from Harper Acura, out of Knoxville, TN. Being former Honda and Acura dealership technicians, the engine replacement procedure was performed properly, and by the book....When we installed the new shortblock assembly, a new clutch disc (Honda part # 22200-PR7-005) and release bearing (Honda part # 22810-PR8-003) were also installed.... In addition, all fluids applied were Genuine Honda products. Since 2006, even though this unit has only been driven periodically, a few times a year; the fluids (oil & coolant) have still been regularly changed... While in our climate controlled showroom, the fuel tank has been kept full, with non-ethanol fuel... And the unit has been sitting on it's lift points (supported by hard rubber blocks) to relax the suspension by about 40%. There is one notable paint flaw: There is a place on the hood, which I think started as a rock chip.... It looks like someone attempted to buff this and in the process, got the spot a little too warm... This area is small, and it is located approx. 15 inches behind / above the Acura emblem on the front bumper... It is confined to an area smaller than a 2 inch square. The tires are original.... We have two additional, brand new Bridgestones (OEM) for the front, which we will include in the transaction. We also will include a Genuine Acura NSX car cover (only used in our showroom) and a brand new Genuine Acura CD changer and mounting kit (still in the box). Accurate Automotive and Accurate Auto Sales are both privately owned (by the same party), and located at the same location, on I-24 East, Exit #64, just outside of the Nashville, TN city limits... In 1997, Accurate Automotive commenced operation, with the business model of being an independent maintenance & repair facility that specialized exclusively in the Honda and Acura automotive makes. From 1997 through 2003, there were several customers that came into the facilility, requesting used car inspections on potential Honda & Acura vehicles that they were in consideration of purchasing... Predictably, the majority of these used Honda and Acura automobiles failed the used car inspection, because they had not been properly serviced and prepared for market, and some of these that failed the inspection were being marketed by local franchised dealers... Seeing a need, after our new 15,000 square foot facility was constructed, in 2004 Accurate Auto Sales was established... This addition to the Accurate business model was designed to be used in tandem with the service side (Accurate Automotive) to ensure that our Honda and Acura used cars were properly serviced and prepared prior to marketing.... Accurate Auto Sales makes up a fraction of the Accurate Automotive business model and this is by design... We are not a high volume dealer, but instead we elect to be very particular and concise about the individual Honda and Acura used vehicles we inventory, and sell.... We purchase, service, and detail all of our Honda and Acura vehicles at our facility....
