The water pump is a common failure on the Z3. It is more of an age issue than a mileage repair. The car never overheated as I was actually at the dealership in the parking lot waiting on my mechanic to change the rear window and noticed the car starting to get above the mid zone. It was inspected and confirmed that the water pump was on the way out so I replaced it. It is good practice to drian the block and radiator then put in all new BMW coolant. One last thing! I sell used BMW Z3s only and I have never had one person walk away from my Zs EVER.. My feedback is 100 and it is not easy selling used BMWs and keeping perfect feedback..
