Vehicle Detail
I have an original 1965 Pontiac 2+2 with 421 engine, automatic on the floor, bucket seats, that runs good, it was in a barn fire but did not hurt the engine or drive train. I have started the restoration but illness has made me sell. I had it running, it did not smoke or make any engine noises. I changed points for electronic and replaced the wiring(not completed) and dash (from the 1966) and that is all the further I got when I got to sick to work anymore. I also have a 66 Pontiac for parts with a 389 that I was told it runs, got it from a shop that fixes autos, this car is also good enough to restore. I would include it if price gets $ 500 over my low reserve. The 65 has a 1968 title that states it is a 1965 2+2 (great for documentation as Pontiac has no records of older cars as their building burned a long time ago and they lost there records. There is some rust ln the trunk but floors are good. Body is fairly strait and I have another front bumper that will go with it but the ones on the cars are ok. 1965 is a clear Missouri title in my name.On Dec-08-12 at 22:18:06 PST, seller added the following information: I have an original 1965 Pontiac 2+2 with 421 engine, automatic on the floor, bucket seats, that runs good, it was in a barn fire but did not hurt the engine or drive train. I had to make a temporary patch to the frame where the transmission mount bolts on, so I could drive it, that will need repaired. On Dec-09-12 at 18:29:10 PST, seller added the following information: I got a message from killerbob33 and he told me, " Anybody can get the build sheet AND window sticker from any Pontiac built between 1957 and 1981 from the Pontiac Historical Services." I looked at their site and if you send them a letter and $ 65 they will send you information. I called Pontiac headquarters direct and was told those records were lost in a fire. You can check if you want the VIN 252375P156806.
