Selling my 1974 Volkswagen Type 2. I have owned it since 2005, and have put less than 500 miles on it. This bus has a new windshield, accelerator cable, and a cleaned/treated gas tank. The engine has been removed and serviced, although the paperwork for that specific job has been lost, so I unfortunately cannot be more specific. All four seats have been completely restored, and all are still in visibly new condition. The headliner is original, and beginning to show some wear, but does not need immediate replacement. This vehicle has been kept either indoors, or covered while outside since 2005--the cover will be included with the sale. I would describe this particular bus as a restoration project, with specific focus on the exterior. However, it runs well and needs only 1 windshield wiper motor, new tires, and a brake job to become a daily driver. Aside from the wiper motor, tires and brakes, this bus will need some body panels completely replaced, a new coat of paint, a front VW symbol, and possibly new bumpers to complete exterior restoration. The following interior panels need to be replaced: under the dashboard, driver and passenger doors, and one rear panel (can be seen in the pictures--the previous owner replaced the original interior panel with flimsy wood and painted it blue) The yellow button on the steering column operates an aftermarket oogah horn. Buyer is responsible for pickup of this vehicle. $500 down payment is required within 24 hours of sale via PayPal. Remaining balance required in cash, upon pickup. Buyer must pick up the vehicle within 10 days of sale end. A $100 per week storage fee will be charged unless a specific arrangement has been worked out with seller before the end of the original 10 day window.
