1928 - FORD MODEL A SPECIAL LEATHER BACK COUPE We are offering for your consideration a RARE 1928 Ford Model A Special Coupe Model 49A. This coupe is the 'leather back' model only made for about twelve (12) months. This car came out of a local estate. We were advised the previous owner had restored it himself thirty (30) years ago. The restoration is fairly accurate and included many early 1928 features. The features of this Special Coupe Model 49A include the following: nickel plated radiator shell nickel plated headlights red rubber steering wheel cast fuel shutoff valve fluted headlight lenses drum shaped taillight center pistol grip emergency handle Ford script Made in USA center front bumper ornament cast iron battery hold downs hex head # 1 cylinder pin "Mushroom" shift knob To further attest to the age of this 1928 Ford is the 9-20 date stamp on the gas tank and Engine #430017 stamped on the engine block. This has always been a good car with no split fenders, patches or major damage. This is a Good, Legitimate Model A Ford that runs, drives and sounds as it should! The odometer reads 37,300; however, is not documented. This coupe has all Henry Ford Steel and should drive anywhere. The Model A has a good clear title. Following the auction: The successful "winning" bidder must telephone us within 24 hours after the auction has ended to verify purchase and make arrangements to complete the transaction. A deposit of 10% (ten per cent) must be received within 48 hours of auction's close; unless other arrangements have been made. Deposits are refundable if the vehicle does not meet the description or the inspection presents problems that buyer and seller cannot come to terms on. Full payment must be received within 7 business days of the end of auction. Payment must be either by cashiers-check, cash (In Person) or by bank wire transfer. If funds are not received, and an alternate arrangement has not been made, the vehicle can and will be made available to other potential buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis. Vehicle Inspections: We recommend that all buyers conduct an inspection either in person or through a qualified professional third party inspector prior to the end of the auction. If such inspection shows the vehicle to not be as we described; we will try to work out or remedy problems. If we cannot come to terms; buyer is not required to complete the transaction.
