This 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL is a recent Barn Find that is being sold as a parts or project car. 158K miles, it runs and drives, but will need a fair amount of cleaning and tinkering to get it back to it's former glory. The paint is not very good, with the clear coat peeling in many areas. The side molding is also coming off on the passenger side, and the hood has a slight kink from forced entry. The top has not been up in many years, and has a small tear as well as opaque rear windows. Inside, the carpets are all stained, and much of the wood veneer is peeling off of the dash. The leather on the driver's seat is beginning to crack, but the passenger seat has a large hole. Controls seem to work well with the exception of the climate control. On a positive note, the dash top appears free of cracks! Mechanically, it runs well, but has an exhaust leak under hard acceleration. The transmission shifts fine but seems a bit noisy at idle. Tires are almost bald. A great parts car, or with a bit of investment, a solid summer cruiser. NO RESERVE!
