True survivor, completly original 1966 Datsun 520 pickup, very rare single headlight pickup. body is straight, NO RUST/cancer, there is some light surface rust on the floor boards. This is a great running, 4 speed truck. All of the original factory parts that were removed to get this truck completly roadworthy were kept to be remanufactured for a completly original factory truck. Recent work includes new brakes (wheel cylinders, and brake pads, drums turned), on all 4 wheels, new door panels, new tires, radio, converted to a webber 32/36 carburator, throttle cable. i have the original wheel cylinders so that new kits can be installed, brake shoes to be relined, factory hitachi carburator, i also have a new brake master cylinder. Recent tune up and oil change, ready to go. This truck will run for ever, I was fixing this up as a high school car for my girls, it is in too good of shape to hand over to my high school kids. it is rare, and in great shape for a collector. I would kill me to see it banged up and ruined, you know how kids learning to drive can be, this is too rare of a car to use for that. Dont waste my time and I wont waste yours. This is a 46 year old truck, it is not perfect far from it, there are little dents and the paint is shot there is no surface rust on the outside of the truck, It would make a perfect RATSUN as it sits, or with a little time and work the body can be made perfect. Please resolve any questions prior to bidding. I do not accept money orders, cashier's checks are Ok but the truck will not be released until the check clears, if you are planning on using a Cashier's check to cover the deposit, it must be from a bank with a local branch in the Boise area. The truck can be driven any ware, but its top speed is 55, the factory manual reccomends not to exceed 65, or to drive at 65 for extended periods, If you are planning on taking this car a long distance i would reccomend towing it. It is a 1300cc so it gets great milage 35-40 mpg, but is is not very zippy. It runs fantastic, but i have it tuned a little rich, but the older engines prefer to run rich, and their is less chance of burned valves. no leaks. See pictures, I will not ship, i can deliver to certain destinations for an additional fee and after the delivery fee and 50% of purchase price have been recieved, this will constitute a non-refundable deposit. Delivery areas Reno $500, Portland $500, Salt Lake $500, Spokane $500 Seattle $800, these are examples, shorter distances from Boise can be negotiated. the above mentioned deposit must be recieved 24hrs after auction end, delivery can only be on the weekend of Dec 8 or Dec 22, if these times do not work for you you will have to arrange your own shipping. If not having me deliver the truck to you a $200 non-refundable deposit must be recieved 24 hrs after auction end, and yes I do accept paypal but you will have to pay an additional 10% to cover their handling fees. I will not release the truck to shippers until the total has been payed in full.
