Presenting one of the finest privately owned 2002 M5s to come to market in some time. This vehicle is Imola Red with Red on Black interior and has 51,148 miles. This car has had three owners, the most recent having owned it since October 2007. It was bought with 46,621 miles and the owner purchased a three year extended warranty at time of purchase. Enthusiast owned, this car complimented a stable of BMWs that included a 740i sport, X5 4.8, and an 850. The owner recently passed away and the car is now available for sale. The pictures speak for themselves as to the pristine, climate-controlled environment this car has been in since October 2007. Only one technician from a local BMW shop was allowed to work on the car and he would come to the owner’s residence to perform the work. The vehicle was primarily used on the weekends as evidenced by only ~4,500 miles put on the car in over five years. The car is in perfect working order and needs absolutely nothing other than a new owner to enjoy her. In addition to standard features, the car includes Mk IV navigation, M audio with enhanced bass, and folding rear seats. A handful of tasteful modifications have been made to the vehicle. These include Dinan Stage 1 reprogramming, Magnaflow exhaust, built –in Valentine radar detector, mild privacy glass, and a strut bar. A Rogue SSK was planned but never installed – the kit is included with the sale. All service history since October 2007 is available for inspection and as well as some pre-October 2007 history. Over and above regular maintenance (oil, coolant, brake fluid), the car’s fuel filter, differential fluid, and transmission fluid have been changed. Additionally, the following items have been addressed since 2007: new lightweight clutch and flywheel, both valve cover gaskets, tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE050A installed at 48,729 miles), brakes, instrument cluster due to pixel outage, thrust rod bushings, window washer pump, rear window regulators, and battery. The vehicle’s Carfax is clean however Autocheck notes an accident in 2002. Based on the pre-purchase inspection (PPI) done by the owner at time of purchase, this was limited to the front bumper and the bumper was repainted after the accident. In October 2010 the vehicle was significantly keyed. The owner had the car re-sprayed to eliminate the scratches and various rock chips that had accumulated over the years. Some pictures are available of the car being prepped for paint. A PPI was just performed at a local BMW dealer and is available for inspection, in addition to all other reports (2007 PPI, Autocheck, Carfax, and BMW Vehicle History Report).
