Vehicle Detail

This is a true Austin-Healey Concours Registry "Gold" level certified car. The "nut and bolt restoration" was completed in mid-2010 by Ray Kennett of Poughkeepsie, NY (BTO Automotive). The engine, transmission, O/D and suspension were completely rebuilt by Highland Automotive of Highland, NY (recognized as a leading old line Healey shop). The car has been driven less than 1,000 miles since the completion of the comprehensive restoration. It won Concours d'Elegance (Best of Show) for the Austin-Healey category at the British Invasion XX held at Stowe, VT in September 2010 and was graded out as Gold Concours at the 2011 Austin-Healey Conclave in Colorado Springs, CO (national Austin-Healey Car Club show). Most of the minor deficiencies noted by the judges have since been corrected. All numbers match the Heritage Certificate. This car is "classic Healey"- 3000 Mark I, highly desirable BN7 (two seater roadster), side shift 4-speed transmission, and has the classic Healey Blue over Old English White color combination. The car comes with side curtains, tonneau top, complete tool kit, jack and handles, an original Owner's Handbook, original marketing brochures and advertisements. The car includes new Michelin XZX radial tires, a Heritage interior with leather seats, and many rare NOS parts (for example, note the photos of the rare NOS speedometer and tachometer that have the original decal and the amber indicator lens, original ignition key matching Heritage Certificate, and NOS ignition wiring harness). This car is the real deal - the cosmetics are virtually perfect (please see the photos), it runs great, and it is certified "Gold" by the Austin-Healey Concours Registry. The BN7 2-seater roadster model in Healey Blue over OEW is rare and classic. Only 2,284 Mark I BN7s were originally produced vs. 8,732 Mark I BT7 4-seaters. This car has true investment potential. I am only selling the car because I recently purchased 2 additional Healeys that need to be restored. Please call Ray at 303-503-5746 with any questions. I have many more photos that I can email as well as a copy of the Heritage Certificate and the Concours Registry Gold Certification.
