Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my '83 Trans Am. It is the 25th anniversary daytona 500 pace car. Every option available for the year. This is definately a project car. The car runs and drives, just not well. She may need a new ecu. The owner before me gutted the interior, but did not touch the dash, door panels, or the original recaro front seats (which will need recovering). I did buy a full set of used interior plastics, just needs to be painted. (uncracked sill plates included) The odometer reads just under 67,000 miles which I believe to be acurate judging by the condition of the car. There is NO rust on this car! The rear quarters look brand new, the car will need some minor dents, scratches and paint taken care of though. The A-pillar on the drives side is wrinkled near the fender due to what the previous owner told me was a beam falling on the car in storage. I can neither confirm or discredit this. The chrome wheels and tires are not included with the car, but it will come on the black rollers seen in the pictures which consist of orignal turbo fins in front and old rallyes in the rear. Hope to find someone who would like this rare car! Happy bidding, low reserve! On Nov-25-12 at 11:31:35 PST, seller added the following information: *UPDATE* I've added more pictures and wanted to add a little to the description. I do have a correct center console for the car, the doors do not sag AT ALL! I've added a picture of the odometer to prove the mileage, if you look at the carfax, the Trans Am magically jumped 100,000 miles in one year. Like I said I do believe 67,000 is acurate. I have the correct split back seat back rest, plus a leather one piece back, and both leather rear buckets. I added photos of the rear quarters to show how clean they are. I've put around 25 miles on the car in the last 2 and 1/2 years, its been sitting in the garage on jackstands the rest of the time. The reason I believe the ecu is bad is the last time I started her, she idles up and down 1500 rpms. I drove it down the block and she would bog bad at about 20mph. Before that, the car idled perfectly, and would drive at 70 mph no problem. I hope this helps, this is all I can think to add at this time.
