Vehicle Detail

1984 500 SEC with nice interior and exterior, strong engine, new tires. There's a bit of a story behind the car - I purchased it on eBay in 2008 from Florida, from the service manager of the MB in Tampa. He still lists under the moniker of "wolverineXXXX". The car was advertised as having only 43,000 mile on it, and that the dealer was selling for the original owner. As it turns out, it has over 200,000 miles on it, and several owners. I found that out after having the bottom-end of the engine rebuilt, and running a car fax on it. That's the bad news. I have driven up until the last month, and recently purchased a new car. The body is clean, rust free, and the interior very nice - though the center arm rest is beginning to crack. The seats are all excellent, with no tears, and the dash is in perfect condition with no tears. I kept sheepskin seat covers on (including the headrests) the whole time I have had it (seat covers not included). The exterior is nice, however, there are a couple of small "door dings" from people opening doors into it. The paint is in good condition everywhere except on the roof, where the clear coat is cracking. It will need to be repainted on top if you're looking to dress it up more. The engine runs strong, and this is a fast, heavy, steel-framed car. I paid $7,000 to have the bottom-end rebuilt in May 2011, and I have put about 15,000 miles on it since then. The transmission is good, however, there are times when I park where it will not go into park, so, I shut the car off, let it sit for a few minutes, and it shifts into park fine. The tires are a very nice set of Continental Extreme Contact 225 45 16's with a lot of tread left. The car was my daily driver until I purchased the Passat, and it drives nice. Here is everything I can think to tell you of: Wiper motor does not work - I have a rebuilt one in the trunk of the car I will includeOdometer shows 128,0000 miles - but car fax indicates over 200,000I replaced the stock exhaust headers with those from a 560 SEC - boosting horsepowerI have two tire jacks - will include them bothWindow regulators are slow...need grease in the window assembly or the regulators may need to be replacedAC not working - needs compressor & R134 conversionI had the power steering box resealed/rebuilt. Tie rods and steering dampers were replaced in May 2011New springs and heavy duty bilstein shocks put on in May 2011Bottom end of engine rebuilt in May 2011All hoses and vacum lines replaced in April 2011.Sunroof works intermittentlyAntenna motor does not work - mast does not elevateCenter armrest is crackingSheepskin seat covers not includedFuel pump replaced in September 2011 If I think of more, I'll add it, and of course, I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of winning bid, payment (deposit & final payment) by cashier's check, postal money order, or paypal only - payment in full due within 5 calendar days.
