Im selling my 39 packard six I bought this to make a replica military staff car there was a lot of work done to the car this summer but the cold weather and the economy has caught up with me. I have tried to do the work on the mechanicals that needed attention first like a $500 newly recored radiator, new master cylinder, new exhaust and added a electric fuel pump. The engine does run I had to replace the head gasket the valves need to be adjusted and it needs to have the timing set the wires, distributor, and rotor have been replaced with new I believe the car has an overdrive transmission too. I freed up and cleaned up the trans shift linkage it works smooth and the battery has been replaced with a new one the car rolls freely the car has been partially disassembled as seen in the pics to do the work the front clip has been cleaned up and painted the hood has been taken down and freed up the hinges were in bad shape all the broken pieces of hinge have been replaced. I have many spare parts as well as all the parts to reassemble the car as seen in the pics. The body is in pretty good shape for its age the doors open and close good minor pinholes here and there on the lower quarters of some of the doors the running board was removed to get at the fuel line for replacement there was some amateur body work done as well the front fenders were tack welded to the cowl when I got the car thats why it has been disassembled to see what else was hacked up. I have the rear fenders they were taken off so the wheel wells could be wire wheeled to remove the surface rust so it could be primed and painted the deck lid is stored inside with the rear fenders the new exhaust is still in the trunk.
