Hello and Thank You for viewing my auction. You are bidding on a sharp looking Monte Carlo which draws attention everywhere it goes. I pulled it out from the garage today for some quick pictures and here it is :) I took this vehicle on trade for a cadillac I had some time ago. It has been sitting in the garage and does not get much use so I have decided to sell. It is a 1983 Monte Carlo with factory removable T-Tops that started its life as a 305 v8 and was replaced at some point with an early 70s 350 chevrolet motor. The numbers on the engine block are T1209CKD which basically translate to a Tonawanda Chevrolet Plant built Dec 9th and was used in many 72-74 chevrolet vehicles and in 77 corvette's. The engine sounds great with the flowmaster dual exhaust and has a nice deep throaty sound. Engine feels like it has a mild cam in it and has an edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. The engine uses about 1/2 quart of oil between oil changes. Has 22 inch wheels with 3 like new tires and 1 tire which will need replacing soon. Has EURO front light conversion already done. Has air shocks in the rear and a lift in the front. Exterior is a Kandy Burgundy/Root Beer color with gold flake. Interior is a custom diamond pattern cloth peanut butter color interior. It is a factory a/c vehicle and all the components are intact but will need a charge in the summer time to get it going again. Transmission shifts perfectly but drips a little when it sits(like most old cars) and could use a new transmission pan gasket ($20 for the part and 30 minutes to change) if you want to change it. All the lights work,turn signals work,wipers work,horn works,dash lights work,power windows work. Power locks need a new switch on the door as they unlock but do not lock. Previous owner kept the radio so there is no radio included. Has a top of the line AUTOPAGE alarm with Remote Start and one regular remote (had a lcd remote but it was lost along with the door key). The remote is a C3 RS 727 Autopage. Had a recent oil change,distributor cap and rotor,spark plugs. I drove it this weekend and had people taking pictures at every stop light! Will make a nice cruiser or a nice start to a full restoration to make it perfect. Speedometer cable needs replacing if you need a speedometer and odometer working (about $10 part at auto part store). Power trunk works with button in glove box. Fuel gauge works fine. The underneath of the car has no rust and is in great shape. Exhaust system is like new. Inside of trunk looks like new. If you are looking for a fun weekend car and cruiser this is it. You can jump in it and drive it as is and fix the little things as you go. I have described the vehcle to the best of my ability and can help load onto transport truck. Also I had a question asking if the floors had any patches? The underneath of the vehhicle has no rust or patches and looks excellent.
