Vehicle Detail
Almost met the reserve the first time, so will try again. Hate to see it go but I need the space! Bought this truck locally with very little rust and was very original. (I am a "survivor" nut) I have had it 10 years now. It is a Factory Big Block 383, auto on the dash. Had the seat recovered and new paint, (left bed in original condition). Previous owner put dual exhaust on it. I had the transmission professionally rebuilt and a few other maintenance items done. Always starts and runs good! Speedometer does not work, hooked cable up and it did, but then made a noise so I disconnected it again. May need new speedo cable or lubed? Mileage says 68k and it is obviously close to that and not 168k. (you can see brake and gas pedal are not worn enough to be 168k) Have a headliner from a '67 Dodge pick up to go in it with one small hole in it, (but it is original to that era Dodge trucks). Re-paint was in original color, but did have the roof painted a Dodge white as I like the look of the white roof over turquoise. Original a.m. radio even works. Paint is not "show quality", but a nice driver that gets attention. A fun, very original truck. I have the original manual, certicard, and the original windshield washer fluid bag. Have too many vehicles and something has to go is why I am selling it. (may list 74 Barracuda soon...) People have asked about body prior to paint. Paint was original and was faded, but body was not rusted except a couple small holes in floor where window seal must have leaked and water sat under mat. When truck was being painted, welded a patch over the area. Also small holes in corner of floor that could not be welded over and we did not patch or fill in. Just left them as they are small. Did not re-paint under the hood or interior of truck, or the bed. Paint isn't all that bad, the clear coat is thin in some areas, I just want to do a good job of representing it well. Easier to explain on the phone. I also drove the truck this past week fairly often and as always, it runs great! Shifts great, lights and gauges work, sounds AWESOME. Has a lot of power too. I have receipts for some of the work that has been done. Brakes, water pump, wheel bearings, Windshield, some front end parts and the transmission completely re-built at Fryars (our most reputable trans shop). Overall, a really cool, fun truck to drive and dependable too. I have a lot more info on the truck so you can just call 501-984-2696 if interested and want more information. Leave Message if no answer and I will get back ASAP. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the truck is for sale locally. I can store the truck inside if needed until it can be picked up. Thanks
