Vehicle Detail
Take a look at this nice 528i-T wagon. We have owned it since 2005. We bought it from the original owner at approx 80k, and it's been very dependable. It runs, drives and looks very good for it's age and mileage because it's always had the best care and always garaged. It has four brand new Continental tires and battery. The last two years have seen under 10k miles put on it. Within the last year has had a fuel pump, rear suspension air bags, alternator and a top engine reseal. Approx 3 years ago it had a complete cooling system replacement with a radiator, overflow tank, water pump and hoses. Also had a new power steering pump and reservoir as well as both hoses. The last major tune was around 4000 miles ago. We have many receipts over the 7 years we have owned it. The newest parts added to spruce things up are new grill inserts and fog lamps, as the originals were getting very tired looking lenses. I had the headlights polished out and a new hood badge. The paint is all original and looks good still. There is some microscopic pitting that I have tried to show in some of the pictures where it is in harsh evening light. The pitting is only noticeable in certain light, where the other pictures on an overcast day you can't see it. The interior is very nice as well, no damage to any of the Leather, carpet or plastic. The pop out cup holders are broke and I've replaced them several times,(it's a BMW thing). The dual climate control blows nice and cold or quite hot when needed. Both front seats are powered with seat heaters working well The right side sunvisor is broken at the arm. Everything electrical works properly with the exception of the Sunroof; the mechanism appears to be broke, and although the motor still works, I have disconnected it in the closed, sealed position. The shade still works fine manually. The other item is the right rear window regulator; the motor will bring it partially up or down, but it needs help to close completely. There are no coolant or transmission leaks at all. The tranny was serviced around a year ago with BMW fluids and some seals. This wagon gets around 18.5-19 MPG around town, and can get up to 25MPG on the highway. It's a pleasure to drive for hours at a time and gets a lot of looks due to it being a fairly rare model on the E39 chassis. I recently added an interface plug for the radio to adapt an I phone or I pod to play through, that charges your device as well. The windows were re-tinted at that time and is a medium tint, so it's effective without being too dark. The title is clear, California registration up to date
