We are selling this 1991 Diesel Converted Land Cruiser for a client. This FJ80 was converted to a 6.5 liter Turbo Diesel about 3 years ago, and still runs great. We performed some preventative maintenance at the shop to get her ready for the next owner. Some details on the cruiser: 1. 1995 GMC Sierra ½ ton 6.5 liter diesel engine with 150k on the conversion 2. Engine is completely computer controlled with factory GM ECM 3. 4L80e auto transmission mounted behind the engine 4. Marks adapter used to convert to factory T-case 5. Stock drivelines 6. 2 inch OME lift kit with shocks, etc 7. 33” BFG AT tires 8. Brakes upgraded to ’93-’97 rotors and calipers 9. GM Hydroboost brake master cylinder from ’95 GMC sierra 10. ’95 Land Cruiser leather power seats (Better material and power) 11. Grey interior 12. Cd player with mp3 control 13. Dual battery system with external starter solenoid 14. Autopage alarm with auto car start 15. Dakota digital tach adapter 16. Power windows 17. ARB Bull bar The 6.5 liter turbo diesel from a ½ ton truck is the only street legal diesel conversion you can do to a Land Cruiser, even in California. The engine is newer than the cruiser and it’s from a similar class vehicle ( ½ ton vs ¾ ton). There’s plenty of power on tap, and it has 18-20 mpg on average. All emission equipment is present and functional on the engine, and licensing should not be a problem.
