Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Description and Information about my :ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADDOW II (March 1980) VIN Number : SRH0039215 This fine and elegant motor vehicle was built in March 1980 – as one of the last hand built SHADDOWS by ROLLS ROYCE – in CREWE/England. It was ordered by an English Lord at JACK BARCLEY (largest Rolls/Bentley dealer In London) who drove the car till the mid 1980s, then unfortunately died and the estate sold this car to the ROLLS ROYCE MUSEUM in Dornbirn/Austria, because it was in exceptional condition. I bought the car from the Museum – trading in my old 1964 SILVER CLOUD – in 1999. I then transported this car to Los Angeles/California, where it has been in my possession ever since. I live in Malibu/California, where the car was always garaged and meticulously cared for by : “SCOTT MOTORS” in Santa Monica. (GARY PROTHERO, owner of SCOTT MOTORS can tell you more about this car.) It has 132.000 miles on the frame, but the motor has been rebuilt about 10.000 miles ago, the transmission is rebuilt. Differential, hydrolic system, steering brakes, tires …. everything totally great condition. Since this car was a custom order for this English lord, it has an array of special features, other Shaddows will not have : The wood is AFRICAN ZEBRAWOOD – a very rare reddish African form of exotic wood, it has an ashtray in the drivers door (built into the wood), the steering wheel is a MOMO wheel – also customized in Zebra wood, it has the washing brooms for the headlights, external fog lights under the rubber pumper, real red fog lights in the back. The car was also foamed inside the entire bodywork – so to prevent any kind of possible rust buildup (an ultra expensive Rolls Royce option in those days), and the headlights are double low beams/high beams – which give the car extra great lights in the evening. All these features were custom orders by the Lord. I can truthfully say, that you will not find a car in better condition of this year – 2 months before ROLLS ROYCE stopped making this model for good. I have loved and cared for this car since 1999 and am selling it only, because I just purchased a 1998 Bentley Azure Convertible – also in fantastic condition, and therefore do not need 2 of these fine machines.
