Up for auction is my 1982 volkswagen westphalia camper. Body is in solid shape with some rust bleeding through at the seams. Van was originally light blue but had a $250 maaco paint job and is now brown, with some peeling and chips. Interior is in good condition other than headliner peeling. Canvas camper top is in good condtion with only a couple minor rub through holes. camper top weather seal need to be replaced. All gauges, instruments, and camping appliances( including gas heater) worked when vehicle was taken off the road. That being said, the van has been sitting in my garage since 1999. Took van off the road in 1999 in favor of a more family friendly and newer vehicle. Van ran great while we used it , took it on a couple long trips (350 and 900 miles) without any problems. When i took it off the road gas had started leaking from where the filler neck entered the tank. I bought the part to fix it and when I dropped the tank Ifound that it had a dent in it(which explained why gas gauge never went below 1/2 full). Thought i'd look around for a new tank.
